Social media hits the trail as iPhone delivers thousands of hiking routes

The Vancouver Sun reports on a new iPhone app from Trailpeak.com, a Canadian company that provides trail maps to hikers. The application taps into more than 10,000 trails, with reviews by users and turn-by-turn directions to help hikers locate them. Very cool. We’d love to see a similar app from our favorite hiking website, 14ers.com.
